The Colorado Democratic Party sent a tracker to video U.S. Sen. John McCain's press conference at the Brown Palace on Thursday, but the twenty-something Democratic staffer was escorted out of the event by a security agent after being confronted by McCain's staff. The Democrats said their staffer initially identified himself to an event organizer when he arrived. When McCain showed up along with other prominent Republicans, a woman who identified herself as McCain's press secretary first blocked the camera, then instructed the security agent to escort the tracker out of the room because he wasn't a member of the press.
David comments, "once again - only supporters allowed."
Frankly I don't think this is very analogous to Bush banishing non-supporters from taxpayer funded events. What I think is that Republican's in general and Colorado GOP head/Schaffer campaign manger Dick Wadhams particularly are demonstrating their ability to learn a lesson. Remember this was Wadhams' last candidate.
