Nancy Pelosi is getting caught in her own lies, and her desperation is showing... Furthermore, it’s clear that Pelosi’s top national security aide was advised about the use of waterboarding, and it’s simply not credible that he would not have told heNancy Pelosi's statement today,
Five months later, in February 2003, a member of my staff informed me that the Republican chairman and new Democratic Ranking Member of the House Intelligence Committee had been briefed about the use of certain techniques which had been the subject of earlier legal opinions.
There's a lot to say about Pelosi and water boarding and I'm happy to have those discussions but what Kaminsky wrote today is either:
1. A flat out lie, in which case his editors should correct his post and apologize to their readers or
2. written without any knowledge whatsoever of what Pelosi said, in which case his editors should correct his post and apologize to their readers.
The Denver Post's continued tolerance of this fool is ridiculous. If you're a professional news organization you should have professional standards. Ross Kaminsky very clearly doesn't come close to meeting any sort of professional standards of journalism.
