Rodriguez is very well regarded but don't think for a second that Bennet picked a Hispanic female for this post by happenstance. To be clear I'm not saying that she doesn't deserve the job on the merits, her resume speaks for itself. After though three high profile job openings (SoS, Senate, DPS) went to white guys we shouldn't be surprised to see an attempt to diversify the various offices.
