More card check

Kevin Drum notes TA Frank's article and acknowledges that Frank makes some salient points and states,

I still wouldn't give up on card check, myself, but it's true that aggressive enforcement of existing law, all by itself, would go a long way toward improving the lot of labor in America

Well yes, of course better enforcement of existing law would improve conditions for labor and working families, that's precisely the issue driving EFCA. Enforcement of existing laws requires a President who respects the role of labor and respects the law and Republican Presidents refuse to respect either labor or the law. So we're back to square one - the need for a legal framework that places more power in the hands of workers and less at the discretion of Presidents and employers. Card check provisions in EFCA provide just that.
