McCain advisers bringing the crazy

Josh Marshall informs us that John McCain has brought on fringe neo-conservative war-mongerer Max Boot as an adviser. Boot is an extremists exteremist and there's a plethora of bombastic quotes out there from him that are ripe for the picking. This development is sure to provide lots of quality fodder for bloggers and partisans, my hunch is it will supply some quality fodder for Obama in the Presidential Debate on Foreign Policy that will take place Friday night.

Joe Klein has more on Boot and his contempt for Israeli democracy and love of all things involving bombs and senseless death.

Boot is a truly awful person and it certainly does not reflect well on John McCain's judgment or temperment that he chooses to surround himself with Boot and his ilk. Boot was an outcast from the Bush administration for pete's sake. Too crazy for Richard Perle, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz? No problem, you're perfect for John McCain.

They are doubling down on the crazy over at McCain HQ and embracing a dangerous and militaristic worldview. I'm hoping the American people notice this before November because the consequences of a McCain-Boot foreign policy will be dire.
