This exchange from last night's Hardball is what inspired me to write my colonialism screed last night.
I don't know how any lucid person can watch what is happening and not be utterly outraged at the cynicism and depravity of Iraq war supporters. Good for Matthews for going on the offense and treating Pete Hegseth's words with the utter contempt that they so rightly deserve. Conservatives are tripping all over themselves as they try to rationalize our continued occupation of Iraq now that all of their myriad casus belli have melted away. It's maddening to watch.
