The base

How much support do you suppose there would there be for a candidate who:

1. Spoke at a neo-Nazi celebration of Hitler's birthday in front of a large poster of the Nazi leader.

2. Focused said speech on Jews and their damaging influence on our culture through pornography and who during that speech wished Hitler a happy birthday

3. Whose website contains numerous quotes like these,

*Maybe those national socialists have a point that WWII was really about liberalism and communism dominating the world and that it was an assault on Christian civilization. Was the bipolar Churchhill possibly deceived? Was America? Didn't General Patton say that we should have been fighting the Russian communists instead? How many people died after WWII because of the new communist threat that Patton said we should not have tolerated. On the other hand, communism gave us Russian brides and capitalism gave us porn stars.

*I've been getting a flood of e-mails and phone calls, some of which include death threats, about my attempt to raise awareness of how the great porn dragon inspires Jews into pornography and prostitution and then, like the snake he is, turns the public against the Jews. Some have questioned whether there is any link to Jews and porn-prostitution. I guess I'll have to start showing the evidence: [ed note: he then proceeds to list numerous websites to "prove" his point]

4. Who has called for forced segregation,
He says he's not for segregation in terms of oppression or crime. Rather, he says it's something voters should consider with crime rates and out of wedlock births high among African Americans. “The segregation, when you use that word, it's a loaded term and many people think about oppressing a people and denying the right to vote. And no one is calling for that type of segregation because that was wrong and I even said that was criminal,” says Zirkle. “We could have six states that are African American, 44 states white and Hispanic, because I don't really see much of a difference between the two cultures. Let people vote and let them decide."

What do you think his popular support would be? Well last night that candidate received 16% of the vote in Indiana's 2nd Congressional District GOP primary. That is a frighteningly high percentage of the vote.

Nearly 1 out of every 6 people who voted in that primary yesterday cast their vote for a racist, anti-Semitic Nazi sympathizer. Think about that for a second.
