Nothing like a little judicial activism to benefit corporations

The ongoing Citizens United case is a textbook example of what conservatives roundly refer to as "judicial activism" if a court takes an action they disagree with. It will be interesting to see their reaction if (when) the Supreme Court overturns nearly two decades worth of precedent and state laws in order to remove campaign contribution limits for corporations. It should be noted as well that besides merely overturning precedent the conservatives on the Court seem bent on reaching far beyond the scope of the original claim in order to reach their favored conclusion.

Andrew Oh-Willeke has more.

Bill Moyers profiled this case on his show last week.
