LBJ

Lots of talk in the blogosphere today about LBJ and a desire to see Obama give some people the Johnson treatment. Given that I'd just like to state for the record that I have 2 pictures hanging in my office that I look at everyday. One is of Woody Guthrie, the other is this photo...

Toughness can be a virtue if the practicioner is strategic and judicious in the application. LBJ is a complicated figure but one cannot help but respect his brilliance as a tactician and leader while he was in the United States Senate. Anyone who finds themself in a leadership position, or strives to be in such a position, whether it be in politics or business would do themselves well by studying up on LBJ.
