Today is the 40th Anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon and Neil Armstrong becoming the first man to walk on the moon. It's still awe-inspiring to think about. For people my age (30ish) a walk on the moon is the stuff of lore, NASA hasn't put a man on the moon in our lifetimes. There's a whole debate to be had around Moon missions, Mars missions, NASA and the like. For today though let's just celebrate the achievements of the Astronauts, all of the people involved in the Apollo program and those who pioneered the space program.
