Debating Rand, the UAW and the Detroit bailout

There's a pretty good discussion going on in the comments thread on the Ayn Rand post over at Pols that I discussed this morning.

My concluding post,

As your wages and your job security decrease, as deflation strikes the economy and unemployment rises I suggest you come back and reread this thread. It might answer some of your questions about what is happening to our economy. Your witnessing the heart of the American economy be destroyed. Without middle class consumers to drive the economy we're all in trouble. Unfortunately the right-wing is hell bent on destroying the American middle class, all in the name of profits for companies making goods and services that no one will be able to buy.
