Police state in St. Paul

The stories filtering out of St. Paul are of a police force run amok. As much as I complained about the over-the-top show of strength in Denver for the DNC at least the police here where mostly well-behaved. In contrast the police in St. Paul began raiding the homes of potential protesters at night, while they were sleeping and a full day in advance of the convention. Total arrests now appear to be in the neighborhood of 300 and that number will surely rise in the final 2 days of the convention.

It's a story that we all should be paying more attention to and one I will try and focus on more in the following days.
