This guy gets paid to write this stuff

Remember that at all times when reading the latest from Ross Kaminsky. He's actually a professional writer. People pay for him for this. No, seriously - they do.
The global warming scare is a hoax by people who hate capitalism and industry.

This isn't even a strawman, it's a hallucination. This is black-helicopter territory. What is there even to say in repsonse to a statement so hyperbolic and delusional as this?

Moving on,
How many of you have heard, among the chatter of the Algore-besotted media, that the planet hasn't warmed at all for a decade?

Not surprisingly this statement is simply false. There is not a shred of truth in it but Ross specializes in unsourced, untrue, psuedo-scientific non-sense. Let us quote NASA one more time to so that we're all clear,
The eight warmest years in the GISS record have all occurred since 1998, and the 14 warmest years in the record have all occurred since 1990.

Moving on Ross quotes at length a "Canadian newspaper." What's interesting to note is that Ross doesn't specify what newspaper, or who the author might be. He doesn't even link to the original article even though this is standard operating procedure on blogs and in online discussions. What does it say about Ross' intellectual honesty that he doesn't want anyone to easily fact check the article or check up on his sources?

He continues,
Look at the food inflation we already have because of our idiotic ethanol policy. It's only a liberal or a Senator from Iowa who could seriously think "let's save the planet by burning our food".

Yeah, that or the President Of the United States and the Republican Congress.

In his 2005 State of the Union Address, President Bush stated that there is "strong funding for...ethanol." In his 2006 Address, he revealed his plan to make ethanol "practical and competitive within six years" after he famously stated "America is addicted to oil." It was this announcement that established ethanol as an alternative energy powerhouse as ethanol stocks immediately bubbled to new highs.

In his 2007 Address, Bush announced that "we must continue investing in new methods of producing ethanol, using everything from wood chips to grasses, to agricultural wastes" in hope of "reducing gasoline usage in the United States by 20 percent in the next 10 years."

This year, however, President Bush didn't specifically acknowledge ethanol in his State of the Union Address; the first time since 2004

Corn based ethanol was never a pet project of Ross' unspecified liberals. Rather it was a pet project of big agribusiness' like Archer Daniels Midland. Agribusiness got a big assist from their Republican friends in the White House and Congress. Ross and his friends are trying to rewrite history to hide the culpability of their own party and it's favored corporations in foisting corn-based ethanol on to the global markets. They are also being intentionally vague as they decry "ethanol" conveniently leaving out that we're talking specifically about corn based ethanol. Other types of ethanol have proven themselves to be cleaner and more efficient than corn based ethanol. This is about propping up and protecting their campaign contributors from facing any scrutiny for their actions and ensuring that the oil industry doesn't face any serious competition from bio-fuels.

The lying isn't anything new and yet the sheer brazenness of at all still manages to astonish me.
