Washington Post: Attack on Obama and troop visit "lacks evidence"

Just to hammer this one home - from today's Washington Post,

For four days, Sen. John McCain and his allies have accused Sen. Barack Obama of snubbing wounded soldiers by canceling a visit to a military hospital because he could not take reporters with him, despite no evidence that the charge is true.

There's been no doubt since day one that John McCain and his minions, including Ross Kaminsky, were lying. It's nice to see someone in the corporate media paying attention and correcting this stuff.

Unfortunately for readers of the Denver Post's Politics West editor Stephen Keating is more interested in drummed up "controversy" than providing accurate stories. It's been clear for days now that Ross Kaminsky's original post should be corrected. Instead of a correction readers were treated to an attack on me and anyone who dared to question what serial-fabulist Ross Kaminsky wrote. That's an interesting way to operate a "professional" news organization and readers should be aware of the very loose standards that the bloggers at Politics West are held to.
