Political ineptitude at Denver Water

I see that the Denver Post editorial board has gone after Denver Water for their mishandling of the closing of the Dillon Dam road.

Let me just say that no matter the merits (or lack thereof) of Denver Waters decision to close the Dillon Dam road it was handled in a completely inept fashion. That Denver Water would just spring this major decision on the community leaders in Dillon without prior consultation is inexplicable. An undergrad in their first public policy course could have told you how important it was for Denver Water to at least give the local communities the appearance of providing informed consent.

As to the merits, who really knows. My guess though is if Denver Water had a substantive case to be made they would have done so.
