McCain still flailing at hippie windmills

John McCain's new ad further demonstrates that he's just completely tone-deaf and out of touch.



He's still doing battle with hippies, 40 years later. He completely misses the appeal of Barack Obama's brand of "change" - it promises to break us from the 40 year cycle of Nixonian politics.

I'm sure the ad appeals to some segments of the population, mostly those over the age of 60. But I'm pretty sure that John McCain already has the elderly anti-hippie vote locked up so I'm not sure this ad does him a lick of good.

It does though reinforce the perception that John McCain is old, a Washington insider and completely out of touch with the vast majority of Americans.
