Meltdown in review...

We're finally back from Durango and after a good night's sleep in my own bed it's eas

The Saturday night Super Jam was simply fantastic. The biggest name musicians at the festival all participated and the picking was fast and furious. The Jam went on for close to 3 hours but there were only a few moments of down tempo or ballads. The rest of the time the stage was full of musicians furiously picking through standards (and even a few Burle tunes).

Sunday saw the 'Dusters play their 4th and 5th sets of the festival and the band really stretched things out. The sets featured long progressive tunes with plenty of improv and jamming. The 1st sets "Pronto"->"No More To Leave You Behind" was a monster of acoustic improv. The segue found the band breaking out of "Pronto", kicking down the wall and storming into "No More."

In the closing set the new Chris Pandolfi instrumental was stretched to epic proportions, with Andy Hall on dobro stealing the song.

The 'Dusters sets were packed, here's hoping they can play the Meltdown at least 1 more year.
