Also acquired on the record store run was a used copy of Pink Floyd's "Meddle", an album that has been on my shopping list since I first acquired my turntable a couple of months ago. I first got into this album when I was in college and the band I was living with, archiving and doing sound for would cover "Fearless." I know most of my musical comrades love Pink Floyd and worship at the altars of Gilmour, Waters and even Syd. Obviously they are an immensely talented and influential band. I listen to other music that is similarly out-there, if not entirely similarl musically. Yet I have never been a big fan, I can't for the life of me find a reason for this. No matter, I have now acquired a copy of "Meddle" and my days of digging through the Floyd section in the used bins at various record shops can now cease.
Now if I could just find a copy of Zeppelin III...

Nice haul today. I'm a big Meddle fan too, think it may have been the only Floyd CD I've ever owned. Top notch album though.
And the Zevon is great stuff too. Wish I would have had the foresight to see him live before he passed. I'll have to stop by and listen to both of these sometime soon.
